  • Need DVD reader advise

I need recommendation on a reader or burner that is specifically good for making copy-protected game images (and no I am not distributing them it is done simply because my Hard drive has a longer MTBF than my Actual CD/DVD's)

I have other burners (unfortunately it doesn't work well with RMPS; haven't try it for other copy protection schemes yet) so it can be a reader or burner

(perhaps in IDE, for that reason because my mobo has insufficient number of SATA connectors given all the Hard drive I am having)

Plextors PX760 is a "nice" DVD-Drive to read fast and reliable.... The Borg assimilated it because of this.

I have to agree to the "Not Cheap" part ... The price is like (at local stores) I can buy like 4-7 of those other brand DVD ROM/burners (I am referring to LG/Samsung/Sony/Asus/NEC/HP and Pioneer which never occured to me as "Generic")

Any frame of reference in comparison of the reliability that I should be looking at?
