I tested Daemon Pro & lite and they both crash my system when a mounted disk is used/accessed. The crash seems to happen randomly.

My specs:

MS Windows XP Professional SP3 (x86)
DirectX 9.0c 4.09.00.0904

Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R (MB)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, OC@3200 MHz
Corsair Dominator 2x 2GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM
ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 (2x 1024 MB)
Creative CA20K1 X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity Audio Processor


I hope you can fix this crash bug eventually.

what is this minidump you talk about, please?

You can find the minidump in c:\windows\minidump.

Also try to disable and stop Gigabyte services (Energy saver).

Also did you disabled and stopped Gigabyte's services yet?

I don't remember what's the process name of the energy saver, so I can't disable it, I'll give it a try if I know the name.

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services
There search for any Gigabyte entry -> Properties and there you see the process name.

It seems disabling the enegy saver has solved the problem, I didn't test enough to be 100% sure, it could be I was just lucky.

Tho if that was the cause of the trouble, it would be nice if you could do something to allow daemon to work with the energy saver because it is pretty useful.

Well, the problem lies in SPTD and according to changelog it isn't fixed in 1.62, but you may try it (DuplexSecure).
