Default Support Neil Corlett's ECM Format

First I want to thank you for making Daemon Tools. It is an incredible program that is useful on a daily basis. It is especially impressive in the number and variety of cd image formats it supports.

To that end, I would like to propose that you implement the ECM format as created by Neil Corlett:

http://www.neillcorlett.com/ecm/

This format removes the error correction data in a cd image file and therefore saves 15% to 20% space on average. This allows, for instance, for a nearly 800 Mb CD image file to be losslessly compressed and fit easily onto a 700 Mb CDR.

Will you please consider it?

Thanks!

I came here to suggest the same thing, only to find I was beaten to the punch

I'll just add that, ECM works as advertised. It would be an extremely valuable feature. It's the next YENC imho.

After having done some tests with BIN->ECM->RAR I don't see a real benefit of that format.
Why not just create & rar an ISO or use compressed MDS ?

P.S.: is it used outside the console/emulation world at all ?
