  • Copy protection used by English UT2003 and best backup prog?

    Hi guys,

I own Ut2003 and want to make a backup, so far I have tried CloneCD FantomCD and CDRwin, but after mounting the images with daemon tools UT2003 will not recognise the CD

Does anyone know what copy protection it uses and what app I should use to back it up? I'm just fed up with swapping discs at LAN parties....

    Daemon tools is the best!

UT2003 uses newest SecuROM - get newest Alcohol 120% or Blindwrite 4.2, create an image and mount it with Daemon Tools ... you can also download the mds-file from the main page and replace the mds-file of your FantomCD-image - may be it works (there is none for the english version, but some multilanguage versions) ...
btw there is currently no solution for perfect 1:1 backup!

Cheers guys! Alcohol sorted it for me.

Also worth a mention is that I had to use a drive that supported the Data precision measurement that alcohol did, One of my drives didn't! (guess which one I was using?!!!!)

Alcohol is still in beta so some drives may not work at the moment. You can also play around with the reading speed. This sometimes helps to get DPM to work.
