  • HDD Driver Letters switched after installing DT4

I downloaded the latest version of Daemon tools off this website, installed it and then rebooted, to find that it had switched the driver letters of my slave discs (2nd and 3rd discs) and now a whole bunch of my shortcuts are ruined, settings for everything has been defaulted, and file extensions are not associated anymore (every recent program asks to be made default again).

I also can't use the system restore, as it doesn't recognize the disks anymore.

    Any help?

The drive letter assignment is done by Windows, not Daemon Tools.
But there is no need for system restore or similar - just run diskmgmt.msc and re-assign the drive letters the way your system requires them.
