  • no virtual drive possible

Have problem with getting virtual drives in general. I am using Daemon Tools v4 and Alcohol (last version). In both programs it is impossible to create a virtual drive on my computer. When I change the number of devices, both programs crash. That means the window "please wait" appears, afterwards nothing happens anymore. Is there anything that blocks creating virtual drives? Are there any programs that don't work with Daemon or Alcohol?
    Thanks for help

What exactly happens? Crash/nothing happens are two different things ...
what is in device manager? Any devices with yellow exclamation marks? If there are any virtual devices already present, which drivers are installed?
