  • Prince of Persia 3 BSoD

Hello everybody, I had finally gathered enough courage to run my DVD's image after I had learnt I have an Asus A8NE-FM mobo with an nForce 4 chipset, and PoP 3 actually loaded, but all I could see was the intro. Then a BSoD with the following indication:

    *** STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xBFC9513C, 0xB99A2B38, 0xB99A2834)

    *** nv4_disp.dll _ Address BFC9513C base at BF9D4000, DateStamp 434b4ba5

I'd need to know what caused it..

Furthermore, I have a SATA HD, so I couldn't disable the whole "CONTROLLER IDE ATA/ATAPI" in device manager, but only "NVIDIA nForce4 Parallel ATA Controller" and the first "NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller". The second serial one has my HD plugged in so no disablin' it.. The weird thing is that at the reboot of the machine after PoP 3 installation (the "protection process"... bah), my removable disks G:, H: and I: weren't available anymore, only removable disk E: was available, and DT's virtual drive is F:. My only DVD+-RW drive had of course disappeared. But now, after the blue screen I got G:, H: and I: back, even if those two controllers are still disabled. How come?

If anybody could explain I'd be grateful, please.
    Thx
