  • Links to 4.0.3 X86 and x64 files broken

    Apr-04-2006 20:00 GMT +1

    Just wanted to report that from the DOWNLOAD :: Daemon Tools page, the links to the files for DT 4.0.3 x86 and DT 4.0.3 x64 both return 'page cannot be found' messages - FYI.

    Thanks, too, by the way.

    It shows in the status bar some kind of 'Google link' , it could be a meta tag problem,, or a google bot problem,

    any event the download still does not work

      this might be of interest to whomever needs to check the links on the site. or it might not...

      i'm using ie6 on xp pro sp2 with current xp and ie updates on 2 machines with slightly different browser and fw settings in place. i apologise for so much text...

      :::AT DOWNLOAD DAEMON TOOLS PAGE:::

      Download: DAEMON Tools 4.0.3 X64
      [ http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=Download&id=83 ]

      :::RESULT:::

      1) from the more forgiving of my pc's i am directed to the same url from both links:

      [ http://daemon.untel.org/home/simon/public_html/www.google.com ]

      2) from the less forgiving pc, i am directed to:

      [ http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=Download&id=81 ] (or id=83) with no result

      i find that if i refresh these pages at daemon-tools.cc, i am prompted for dl of daemon403-x86.exe (or x64) file from daemon.untel.org

      <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

      :::AT URL LINKED TO FROM RESULT ONE ABOVE:::

      Page hits = 48 since april 11th, 2006

      :::RESULT:::

      can download files from these links, but they are not linked directly from daemon-tools.cc

      <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

      i don't think this is an issue with my local settings in any way hindering me from being directed to the files

      do you suppose you could post an md5 or sha hash for the current x86 file?

      i can't install dt until i've gotten it cleanly from daemon-tools.cc or verified the file.

      and i really want to install it.

      thanks again.

        link

        you can get them at daemon.untel.org

        I was hosting the file for locutus and had to change some things.

        Regards,

        Simon

          repaired

          I just repaired the direct link to daemon.untel.org from the download section of this site. I am waiting for a reply from locutus on some things.

            In reply to your question about MD5 or SHA, Locutus would have to answer. I have been hosting those files for him for the last couples of months with a direct link to them from this site.
