I created images of my copy of Sonic Adventure DX Directors Cut for the PC so that i could play it on my laptop without carrying the CDs around with me...

If i put CD2 into a virtual drive and CD1 into a physical drive the game loads and works. But if i put both or just CD1 into a virtual drive a message comes up saying. "Please use original disk and not a backup. Visit www.securom.com for more information"
    I have SecuROM emulation loaded.
    What an i doing wrong?

How did you create you image? Which programs and settings used?
Sonic is protected with Securom 5.
You must create an image with a program like Alcohol 120%. Just select the Securom New 4/5 Profile an create your images.
DPM Measuring speed should not be too high. Just try it out.
If it the game still doesn't work, try downloading a DPM-File at Copybase ( Database ).

Just add a little thing, it seems that with the last alcohol version it's better to get DPM at a high speed... (I don't remember where OlivierFromFrance said that)

btw I tried with X3 : Reunion, and that work well, so that shall run with other games

I used Nero 7 Premium and used the Nero Image burner.
        All settings default.

AN Image created with Nero wouldn't work. Create an image with Alcohol like FordPrefect described it above.
