  • ?????? securom & virtual memory ????????????

    Something strange happened today.
I do not use Windows virtual memory since i have 2GB physical ram. Never an issue. Until today.

Two new games both of which use SecuROM now said i need to have virtual memory enabled and would not play without it! They are Titan Quest and Cars both from THQ.

So i enabled virtual memory and sure enough they played from an image using ASR v1.2.

    I find this very strange....

Interesting. What version of SecuROM was on each?

I'm not sure this is securom related... I dunno who developped cars, but titan quest is the only securom's game I own that won't start if no virtual memory is present... and I have 1.5 Gb, that shall be enought.
By the way, Heroes 5, for example, runs better without than with.

The error is not about/related to Windows virtual memory...
It is a SecuROM error (or related to some custom protection by the game developers "THQ")...

People had the same problem with CureROM 2.0.2 (old version)... but i updated the anti-blacklist (CureROM 2.0.3) and i have reports that Titan Quest (1.01 & 1.08) now work 100% with CureROM...

yes i know. but v1.0 worked with CureROM so why does it not work anymore with the patch?!
i think sYk0 could have a look at it... it says: emulator detected!

CureROM is made for Safedisk 4 and SecuROM 7.
