Hi

I'm running Daemon Tools on several computers on my schoolnetwork. Sometimes it's the only way to get old software back running.
I've got a problem with the unmounting procedure. When a pupil forgets to unmount an iso-file, the next pupil that login get the startupscreen of the cd-rom. That happens even after a restart of the computer.
Is there a solution for that?

Best regards

Sure - either disable automount in Daemon Tools (prevents the image to be mounted again), and/or (recommended) disable autoplay in Windows (e.g. via TweakUI).

I've disabled Automount now and I still get a mounted iso-file when I mount a iso-file, log off and login with another user.

Well, to disable automount prevents the image to be mounted after reboot only. Seems you've to disable autoplay then.

So in fact there is no auto-unmount possibility after a user logs off?

erm... a school network should have them running on a domain...
you could put
"Path\To\Daemon-Tools\daemon.exe" -unmount 0
into the users login scripts... I would assume all the general users are part of a distribution group and sharing the same login script....
