My copy has arrived today. made image with latest alc and it won't run. i've tried the usual stuff but no success so far. After the Koch-Media message Gothic logo shows up and after a few seconds it tells me to insert the dvd. Other games with various protections run fine.

So, let's see what you've got.

Uh and by the way, the game itself seems to play fine. Looks quite nice here, really!

Tages 5.5.2.1

You could try VirtualCD 8 with exact sector verifying but i dont think it will work. So you have to wait for Daemon Tools Pro.

well if its tagés you wont be able to make a working image (at least until dt pro arrives with the tagés plugin)

you can copy tages with VCD, VCD ist able to read dics backwards. so it is able to copy those twin sector stuff.

Did you try this by yourself? Afaik you must be very lucky to create a working image with VCD.

nope not with gothic but some games work. i wait for some patches, gothic 3 is unplayable buggy.

VCD shouldn't work with newer Tages version (like Gothic 3 and it takes really long and if it doesn't work then..)...
So the used Tages after all... Interesting... Didn't they want to use SecuROM?

Btw.: Does any protection scanner detect the version already (because I wasn't able to)...
