  • Installs on top of mapped drive

I have a small network so i have a few network drives mapped, and they are mapped sequentially after the other drives. Daemon tools apparently didn't recognize the mapped drive, and by default i suppose it took the next sequential drive letter, which was the same as the mapped drive. Obviously there are work arounds for this just by remapping the network drive or virtual drive to a different letter. The daemon virtual drive didn't even show up or work properly until i changed the drive letter for either.

As a second note, a context menu entry would be nice or drag and drop system someday, so i can 'right click' images and load them instead of browsing for them with daemon. Ok so i'm lazy!

As for your first problem, Windows handles all the drive letter assignments so for some reason it assigned the drive letter to DTools over your mapped drive.

As for your second, there are some really good third party tools to do the job (e.g. awxDTools).
