  • DT setup continuosly asks to reboot before install !

    Hi everyone...
I'm running windows vista rtm final. I have a problem installing daemon tools. He asks to reboot system before installation process, but once system is rebooted he asks the same again and again. Sort of same problem happens with Alcohol...
    What can I do?

    thanx and merry christmas..

Try latest Daemon Tools and Alcohol.
Make something idiot proof, but then they just make a better idiot

I have this problem, too; but the difference is that I have it under standard WinXP, I've had this problem since 4.0.3, I guess, and the solution has been to delete one registry key that is under

      HKLM\1.... (a numeric key)\ and if I remember well I removed a value that was R=1.

You can use regmon or the replacement app 'process monitor' to check out what's the proper regkey.

I guess that the developer can give you a better advice, since I'm currently running Slackware linux and don't have the necessary resources available.

Sounds like your Problem is SPTD related.

Try to install the standalone SPTD-Driver and then install DT or Alcohol.

Take also a look in the Duplexsecure forums: click!.
        Upgrade your programs:
        DaemonTools --- SPTD --- YASU --- PID
