Operating System: Windows 2000 (SP4)
Burning Software: Nero 6
Anti-virus Software: McAfee 4.51
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.41

Installed Daemon tooles 3.41 on a fresh installation of Win2K (DELL Dimension 8300, P4 with HT)
Nearby every day an BSOD with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL in PNPSHARK.SYS without any reason (AFAIK)

Stop 0x000000d1 (0xfdfed6f8, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xbffc4291)

Any sugestions to cure this awesome problem?

Operating System: Win XP SP1 (clean install appart from nForce2 drivers & ATi Drivers)

DAEMON Tools Version: 3.41 fails, 3.33 ok

I have the same problem. Whenever 3.41 is loaded onto my system it will fail to boot. Comes up with DRIVER_IRQL error but does not display a file name.

I have my system working correctly with v3.33

I have just reloaded my PC and have installed the following only

WinXP SP1 (slipstreamed)
nForce drivers (v3.13 with SW IDE drivers)
ATI Cat v3.8 I think (newest as of 1/11)

When I install 3.41 it will install but fails to restart. If I dont restart it will crash out after about 20 mins (Just reboots by itself & then fails).

BTW, system is an SN41G2 Shuttle PC running an XP3200, AIW9700pro, IBM 185Gb HDD, Seagate 80Gb IV HDD, 6in1 USB card reader, Plextor PX-708A DVD+-RW in USB2 case, 1GB PC3200 Ram.

I have the same problem! It happens once every day a few minutes after I did an automaticly daily backup of my systempartition with ntbackup to a SCSI-harddrive.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

PS: I forgot to say I'm also using Alcohol 120% Version 1.4.3 (Build 410)

yeah,
that's 3.13
i have problems too. when i start game (different) winxp dies.
Sys. events - pnpshark
deleted DT and all traces in registry 2. (i think)
still problems
after that i tried ALL Nforce SW IDE drivers and ITB dtivers 2.
all versions. no help

i think only 1 way left guys..
deleting %windows% folder etc.
and make new install.

btw. Nvidia sucks.

I think I have solved my problrem:
I have deactivated the virtual drive of Alcohol and Nero. Since that time the Bluescreen didn't return.
Knocking on wood... ;-)

New version of Daemon-Tools released... 3.44

Same problem. Windows crashes with a BSOD and IRQ_NOT_LESS_THAN.... Error at boot up.

It still does it without any drivers or programs loaded (Clean XPSP1 install)

It will not produce a minidump because the software to produce the dump has not loaded at that time, just a nice blue screen and a "Sorry for the error"

Any ideas

XPSP1 (Slipstream)
XP3200
SN41G2 System (nForce 2 mobo)
1Gb ram (PC3200 DUal Channel 2x512)
No internal CD or Floppy Drive
Internal USB Card Reader
Unplugged USB DVD+-RW

I am willing to BETA test software if needed

DAEMON Tools Version: 3.41 and 3.43

Same prob here.

Running Adaptec 29160 and Mylex AcceleRAID 170 RAID SCSI card (latest drivers). No WMP 7 or greater installed. Was ok in 3.33. I will try your 3.44 release and note the BSOD adress for you next time I restart my workstation.

There is a similar problem with someone else, maybe you should tell them the same thing
