  • Initialization error 5

    Hi there.
For a while now I have been getting the same error whenever I try to start Daemon Tools:
    "Initialization error 5.
This program requires atleast Windows 2000 with SPTD 1.37 or higher.
    Kernel debugger must be deactivated."
I have tried reinstalling several times, but I can't get it working. Do anyone know how to solve this?

    Install SPTD 1.40 beta (forum.duplexsecure.com)
Make something idiot proof, but then they just make a better idiot

I tried that, and it's not working. I still get the same error.

I've tried updating several times, but all I get is a reboot message, and no update. After I've rebooted I get the same error when I try to start Daemon Tools. Any ideas of what might be wrong?

Un-install Daemon Tools, delete whole installation folder if any files remain after un-installation, then reboot. If un-installation via Uninstall icon or uninst.exe (in installation folder) fails, just delete Daemon Tools folder completely, also ensure dtscsi.sys of previous versions is removed (in Windows\System32\Drivers folder). After reboot, re-install Daemon Tools.
