  • Completly Uninstalling Daemon Tools

    Hey,
When i installed Daemon Tools, "SPTD v1.43" was installing automatically.
So, when i normally uninstall Daemon Tools, is SPTD also uninstalled?
If not, how can i uninstall this?
There is no entry in Software-Uninstall Programs about SPTD.
    Thanks

    Well it isn't uninstalled then.

You have to download standalone SPTD installer, there you can press uninstall.

As there may be other programs using SPTD layer, it is not uninstalled during Daemon Tools installation.
If you want to remove SPTD layer, download SPTD installer and select uninstall:
Need to mount or create an image? DAEMON Tools software is here at your service. Choose from laconic Lite, powerful Ultra or old but gold Pro and try for free.

This disables SPTD layer, you can remove sptd.sys and registry entries if you want, but this is actually not required.

Ok, so first uninstall normal Daemon Tools, then uninstall SPTD with the Setup File of SPTD, then remove sptd.sys in system32/driver and remove Autostart Entry sptd.sys, and search for registry values called "sptd" and "Daemon"

Then everything is completely removed, am i right?
