  • DT Pro + Vista 32bit = no joy

I just purchased DT Pro, and have had nothing but headaches.

    1. It wont image WindowXP Pro (no idea why)

Creates images for the following CDs/DVDs but none of them will start, they all ask for the original CD/DVD

    Supreme Commander
    Command & Conquer 3
    Civilization IV
    Neverwinter Nights 2

after that.. i gave up, and just submitted an email for a refund.

Note: purchased Virtual Harddrive Pro 11 and NWN2 worked flawlessly with that.. but it wouldn't do anything with the other titles..

It seems you haven't used right profile in DT Pro.

Everything except Civ IV use SecuRom, so use SecuRom new profile.

Civ IV uses Safedisc, you have to use YASU for this one.
Make something idiot proof, but then they just make a better idiot

As far as I can tell (10 minutes searching DT) the word "Profile" doesn't exist anywhere within the application

Take a look in PlugIn tab of DiscImagingOptions dialog window, there you should have Profile pull-down menu with selectable profiles (e.g. DataDisc, AudioDisc, SafeDisc, etc.).

Are you guys sure you've used DT Pro 4.10.0215?
None of the things you guys are mentioning are anywhere on this application..

Oh... found it, you have to start a new image for those options to appear, I've been looking through-out the main menu.. sorry.. it's always in the last place I look.. hehe

Well, sorry I haven't mentioned it before, but thank you for the assistance. I'll give them all a 2nd try using the profiles.
I'll report back shortly with my findings.. I sure hope it works.

Ok i tried the profile "New SecuRom" and hit start...
within about 15 to 20 seconds I get the whip & mule sound.. then FAILED.. sometimes it gets to 10%, and a few times it got to about 30% or so before it quits.. DPM failure or some such..

So I tried it with StarForce profile, image created.. tried it with other profiles .. image created.. but New SecuRom fails everytime with a DPM problem

I'm using HP dvd 940 drives.. is it normally this hard to get this stuff working right?

How do you add an image to these posts?
I'll have to just type the issue out until I figure out how to add one.

                  --------------------------------
Started disc imaging for drive [1:1](GHP DVD Writer 940d 3H23
                  Media Information: DVD-ROM, Sectors: 2660368, Label:'SupCom1'
DPM Started speed - 13X, precision - high
I get DPM Associated call Failed
                  Disc imaging failed!
                  ----------------------------------

This happens on all 4 discs, wether I use my 840 or 940 drives.. makes no difference

Tried lower DPM speeds and/or another drive yet?

well tried it a few more times, NWN2 works.. took about 4 tries.. and had to turn OFF the emulation.. go figure?!

i've pretty much given up on the others.. tried to get them to image all day.. no luck.. even tried 2 different notebooks and my HP external DVD R/W drive.. none of them would even start..

Kinda feel like I just wasted $30, gunna toss DT Pro on a CD and shelve it... worthless for me at this point.. =(
