  • Stuck at "please wait". Also, win32 error.

at first, when i mounted an image and tried to run it, it said that the drive was "not a valid win32" something. now, whenever i do anything that causes a "please wait", it just gets stuck on it, and doesn't go anywhere. i've reinstalled it multiple times, it still has the same problem.

ALSO, before, when i tried to set the number of devices, it would say that it isn't a valid windows xp image thing, and that i should stop the installation.

i had daemontools before, and it never had any of these problems. why is it trying to actually install the drives now?

does anyone have any answers to this?

    Exact error message:

The software you are installing for this hardware:
    CD-ROM drive

has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. (tell me why this testing is important.)

Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize the correct operation of your system either immediatly or in the future. Mircrosoft strongly reccomends that you stop this installation now and contact the hardware vendor for software that has passed windows logo testing.

    <button>Continue anyway<button> <button STOP installation <button>

ALSO, I need it to be a DVD drive, and i keep getting CD-ROM drives.
