  • Difference between vSCSI and vIDE?

Can someone please explain me the difference between the virtual SCSI and IDE drives? Which one is better to use? And what are each one's purposes? I just don't seem to get it.

    Explanation

IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) is one of the many names used in contrast to ATAPI or ATA or PATA ( Advanced Technology Attachment ).SCSI stand for Small Computer System Interface. Both are interfaces used to connect internal HDDs,floppy drives and CD-DVD ROMs ( generally optical devices ) in the motherboard but the industry prefered the ATA protocol. However, even PATA has become obsolete due to the up-to-date SATA interface introduced in our days. The "v" letter in front of the names stands for virtual and with all these info I guess you can figure out now the differences.
It is remarkable how similar the pattern of love is to the pattern of insanity

The hope in vIDE is that SCSI blacklists become
useless. Therefore anti blacklist utilities like YASU
      become useless.

At the moment the combination of DT and YASU
works very good for SecuRom 7 and SafeDisc 4 but
      not with StarForce.

Another hope in vIDE is that the SCSI blacklist
used by older StarForce versions which needed
to unplug the IDE drives also becomes useless.
