  • Change driver name?

    Operating System: Windows XP Pro
    Burning Software: none
    Anti-virus Software: none
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.43

    Hi,
I've been using 3.32 for a while now, with the latest patch for Homeworld 2 I had to update to 3.43. I noticed in the changelog you listed this:

    * Added ability to change driver filenames (prevents future blacklists)

But I don't see any directions on utilizing this feature. I just use Daemon to mount images so I don't have to funble around with CD's, so I'm not really familar with how blacklists work or whatever.

sorry if this is a dumb question.

    p.s.
The 3.43 install doesn't seem to let you select an installation directory, it defaults to the program files\d-tools dir, whcih is different from what i had been using. Easy enough to fix but took me a second to realize what was happening....

check again DAEMON installation, you should see a choice (not selected by default) of Expert mode installation .

If you select this mode you will have the choice of drivers name .

Sorry, nothing for the installation folder

@OlivierFromFrance: expert mode in Daemon Tools?;-)
Daemon Tools is always in 'expert' mode, you mixed it with Alcohol for sure.
