  • vIDE in windows vista ultimate not installing

    Hi,
I am using a fully updated version of Windows Vista Ultimate x86.
It is freshly installed, with only 7-zip and imgburn installed so far.
After installing DTPro Advanced v4.10.0218.0, I cannot activate the Virtual IDE Adapter.
When trying to add a vIDE drive, DTPro tells me that I must first activate the IDE adapter.
So I try to activate it, and windows detects a new device, but fails to find drivers for it in the add device wizard.
At this point, DTPro errors with the following:
"Unable to add adapter. Invalid device"

    Any help please guys??

Never mind... I found the answer already...
    Uninstalled
Tried to delete INFCACHE.1 (Permission denied)
Changed permissions for "Users" security group from only having "read" ticked, to "Full Access"
    Deleted INFCACHE.1
    Rebooted
    Reinstalled
    All working fine now.
