  • mount image from network share drive causes machine reboot.

    Hi,

I have a dedicated windows file server in my home which has large space. I create a share folder on the server, and local mapping driver Z on my local machine. I found my machine reboot whenever I tried to mount file in Z drive. I have full permission to access share driver. Can anyone point out why?

    Thanks advance.

Please provide full system specs and send your minidump file if available to support with reference to this thread. What file server you use exactly and what image you try to mount?

      Thanks for your reply.
The following list is my machine's spec. I connected to windows server 2003.

      OS: windows xp with SP2
      CPU: Intel P4 2.6G
      Memory: 1.5G
      HD: 120G Seagate.

It doesn't matter which image, I got this problem whenever I connection to a image located on share driver. I have no problem if I copy to my local machine.

      Thanks

Dump points to DCN530N5.SYS as cause of crash, seems to be the driver of your network card. Try to update it.
