  • md5 checksums for new daemon tools (4.12.4 = AD36019D240F1200BAC7BA3733B23509)

    I just downloaded (and redownloaded) new version of daemon tools (4.11.1) from your site and then from first mirror and I get md5 checksum mismatch for both daemon tools x86 and x64 version. As i said I redownloaded the files twice just to be sure and then I downloaded from the first mirror too.
    Either the checksums are for the previous version or something else is going down.

    The posted md5 is from 4.11.

    Here is the md5 for 4.11.1:

    X64: 1F067BDAC5A4099E0DEBDD65F20DD85E
    X86: 66DF1B0A87CE26DA071884796E09F702

    The Official MD5 and CRC32 of daemon4124-lite.exe is
    MD5 --> AD36019D240F1200BAC7BA3733B23509
    CRC-32--> B1EFC7A2

    The Official MD5 and CRC32 of daemon4123-lite.exe is
    MD5 --> 011DE6FE1D21AE1CF4540463CEA0D4CE
    CRC-32 --> 7B9C872C

      thanks for your help

      I figured that md5 sums are probably for previous version (4.11) but then again your site could also be hacked.
      I'm, not dumb as you were sayin'. Your bad.
      OK, I guess you think your site/forum is hack proof.
      Nothing is hack proof. Very foolish of you, even for a experienced admin/moderator

        What are you talking about? If you mean the "idiot proof" line, that's just his signature. It wasn't directed at you in any way.

          bad md5 checksums for new daemon tools

          Hi everyone,
          I just downloaded the very latest DT installer (daemon4112-lite.exe) and md5 checksum still fails. Please post me the correct one Thanks in advance.

          There is another worry I'd like to resolve: I download the same package (daemon-4112-lite.exe) from www.filehippo.com and that package had both a different size and a different hash from the original one I downloaded from the official site. Is there something I don't get!?
          I'm interesting about this strange difference just because I don't know if I have some malware installed on my machine, or I just should distrust filehippo. I often download other packages from this site...

                      I added more checksum's for you. Look at my last post above. Download page shows info on the daemon4123-lite.exe file. This is a mistake on the DAEMON Tools website admin's part. If you do not trust the checksum, you can use the older version of DAEMON Tools until the website is updated.

                        Ok. Where can we find the old versions of DAEMON Tools? I do not see an archive on Download page at all
