  • IDE Drive problem

When i try to add an IDE drive, during the instalation i get an "Found new hardware wizard" with a message "There was a problem installing this hardware: hdc". After a while i get an error message from DTPro: "Unable to add adapter. Device problem 1." I click Ok and another messange prompts: "Invalid device number was specified." After this i get no IDE drive.
I have Windows XP Pro SP2 installed. Please help me! And if this problem has already been posted I'm sorry for the new thread, but direct me to the correct thread because i didn't find it on the search.

hmm 'hdc' is 'hard disk controller' if i remember right, seems a bit strange.. are you using vista? are you 100% positive you're in admin mode when running the installer / dt main program (or agent) for the first time?
