OS problem. Need help

I have been trying to use an image to play one of my games installed on my computer so i do not have to use my cd and have encountered a strange problem. I have Vista right now, and have never had this problem on XP.

I am suppose to load the image into daemon tools then launch the program normally from my programs and it is suppose read from the image. Well what is happening is it is reading it from my dvd-rom drive not the image drive. How do i tell windows to check for the disk on my image drive (E rather than my dvd-rom (D

What does the game tell you? Does it ask you to insert the disc into drive D? If not, simply empty your DVD drive and the game should look for the disc in E...

Also what game is it? This sometimes happened with very old games but newer ones are sometimes nicer and check all the cd/dvd drives.

I got it fixed. thanks was because i had a different game in my dvd rom drive
