  • Failed to installed Deamon Tools

    Operating System: Win98 SE
    Burning Software: Nero6.3x
    Anti-virus Software: None
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.44

    Hi

When I try to install Deamon Tools on my Win98SE, it's not possible to press the "Install" button. When I press the "Install"-button under the "EULA" with the End User License Agreement, nothing happens. I've tried to rename "nerocd95.vxd", and I have also uninstalled Nero6. The Win98SE is fully updates from windowsupdate.com with all securitypatches and other stuff.

By default, MSI (Microsoft installer) is not installed on 98. It was started with WinME +. To install the latest version of Microsoft Installer ( I think 2.0 is newest) go here:

I'm almost positive that they do use MSI to install the software as it is very advanced software, and it's intergration into the windows OS is quite high. This is one of the reasons of creating MSI.
