  • Delay of up to 2 minutes (system seems frozen) when drives are scanned

Operating System: Windows XP Pro SP1
    Burning Software: n/a
    Anti-virus Software: n/a
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.44

    Hi,

I have the problem listed in 'Known issues'.

    For your information:

    Motherboard: Asus P4P800 Deluxe
Chipset: North Bridge: Intel 82865PE, South Bridge: Intel ICH5R w/ RAID 0 support

Which driver do I need to reinstall in order to remove the problem?

    Best regards,
    Tomas-

    Update:

I never waited 2 minutes at boot to se if it countinued, I just used safe mode and disabled d344bus.sys and then uninstalled daemontools.

I installed an older version I had lying on disk (Version on daemon.exe says 3.02.0.0) and now I have the same problem but I _CAN'T_ disable dtools using safe mode so I can't boot up windows at all! And there is no such file as d302bus.sys or similar in c:\windows\system32\drivers that I can remove... so which files are this older version using?

    Any help would be appreciated

        in \windows\system32\driver i only have: st3shark.sys, stream.sys, streamip.sys.

Doesn't sound like any of those?

          I managed to bypass it!

It was the st3shark.sys, i disabled it using 'disable st3shark' in the recovery console.

          Thanks for the help..

My first question is still valid though, dtools rocks and I wan't to use it, anyway to get around the known bug?
