  • System Error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error

When I try to create a new image I get the error in the Title every time regardless of settings.

Running Vista-64 Bit Home Premium edition. What now?

Which Daemon Tools Pro version are you running? Does other programmes works very well with the desired reading device?

BTW you could also update your Vista to SP1.
Make something idiot proof, but then they just make a better idiot

      Version: 4.12.0223

Yes, BlindWrite6 works fine with the device (SATA DVD drive).

I have SP1 for Vista installed already and latest Windows patches.

I'm trying to make an image of my BF1942 CD.

It's not working with a "generic" data disc either. Starts to write and then says I/O error.

Any ideas? Did I buy a lemon?

Depends on what you mean with "did I buy a lemon?"...

What is manufacturer of that device (LG, Toshiba etc etc)..

Also, what kind of chipset is it your drive is connected to?
