I already bought the game Spore, and because of one of my computers in the house messing up, I have not used the 3 registrations off the CD, and I can no longer use it. Is this CD dead to me now? I tried calling technical support, but they didn't help in my pleas, and ignored me more or less.

I was told by a friend, that a single CD key works for all CDs, and that Securom or what ever only limits 3 installations on a single CD, but does not limit how many times the CD code is used. Is this true? If so, couldn't i just use a friends CD and my code to play online, and if its not true, is there any alternatives? Thanks.

Things to clear up:

You haven't activated the game once.

and I can no longer use it.

What error do you get? What happened to your disk?

and that Securom or what ever only limits 3 installations

SecuROM is limiting to 3 activation.
