  • Cant install Daemon Tools after Ver. 3.23 ?!

Operating System: Windows XP + SP1
    Burning Software: Nero
    Anti-virus Software: Norton Antivirus 2004
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.23

    Hi !

I have a serious problem installing every version of DT after version 3.23

I keep getting an error like this when the installation is about to end :

    "Device setup error: code 25030 (0x61C6);
259 (0x103). Contact your support personnel"

How come this occurs in every version after 3.23 ? What was changed since this version works and the other ones dont ?

I have tried reinstalling windows from scratch and installing DT as the very first app. no luck.... Ive searched the forum, and tried every possible solution, but nothin seems to work

The error report is available here : http://Lundaa.dk/Daemon-Error.JPG

The installation log is here : http://Lundaa.dk/daemon.log

I dont know if you could help, but any advice is worth GOLD !

    Sincerely Lundaa

What XP clone you use? Some OEM version? What language?
When you get such error do not press ok first: please check what is in device manager under 'SCSI/RAID Controllers. Also send me setupapi.log
from your Windows folder (delete it before running setup).

      Hi Again !

Sorry for the late reply but my work had me very busy for the last week

I use XP proffesional UK version, it is not an OEM version ...

I checked the Device Manager and nothing appeared in there before i pressed OK at the error-box ... Strangely enough

You can find the setupapi.log here : http://Lundaa.dk/setupapi.log
