  • Boot Blue screen after installing Daemon Tools

Operating System: Windows 2000 SP4 DK
Burning Software: Nero Burning Rom 6
    Anti-virus Software: Norton Antivirus 2002
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.44

    Hello.
I've encountered a couple problems with my computer after installing Daemon Tools.

    The symtoms are:
When booting the first time after a power off I get one of 3 blue screens.
    1) IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    2) PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

    3) STOP something yadayada

When i get into windows and it starts loading the tray icons I can risk getting another blue screen.
DRIVER STOP yadayada and naming the daemon tools bus driver

If I get by all these errors, my system works fine.

Looking thru microsoft's kb, I find no causes for the error that could come into question. The closest could be the IRQL error where it sais it could be defective memory. But they're actually working magnificient.

Is this a known bug? if so, how can I bypass or fix it?

Check if you've minidump related to that BSOD (in Windows\Minidump folder), if so send newest file to support@daemon-tools.cc with reference to your post in this thread.

              I'm afraid no simple.
Check if you've any of these files in your Windows\System32\Drivers directory:
              prosync1.sys
              afs2k.sys
              gearaspiwdm.sys

Nope none of them, I already looked at that. It's a clean (as delivered by Dell) Windows os, fully patched.
