Problems creating DVD image file

I've tried to create ISO files from a few different DVDs, however the result is a file with "jumpy" sound and no video, just a black screen. I have tried playing the ISO file using other programs but this gives the same results. I am currently on a trial of Daemon Tools Pro version 4.30.0304.0047. I should be grateful if you can help me with this as Daemon would appear to do everything I want if it works.

What kind of DVDs do you try to image? Note that CSS protected DVDs are not supported.
