    The driver of HDD controller hosting image has main importance here. What is it?

      You were right, VeNoM386. Since HDD is S-ATA, it is connected to Sil 3112 S-ATA RAID controller.
      When i installed Win XP, it prompted me to insert disk with drivers for Sil3112 (before installation) , but when i installed Win98SE it didn`t, and i FORGOT to do it by myselfl. Beside that, i got two more devices with problems (USB controller and one more);
      but i`ll sort that out by myself.
      After I installed the driver from the floppy supplied with the MB, everything worked perfect.

      Thanks for your help.

      Greets.
