Best method of going from pro trial to lite?

Hi,

I got curious about the vIDE option so I installed the trial version of 4.30.0304.0047 to have a look-see.

I have 9 days remaining on the trial but have decided that I really do not need the options in the pro advanced and would be happy just using the free lite version.

Is there a recommended way to switch from one to the other to minimise the chances of anything going wrong?

I am using XP pro on this machine but had the bluescreen problems on a vista laptop the last time I tried to uninstall Daemon so am a tad nervous.

Any advice would be welcome.

Unmount all images and then uninstall Pro.
After a reboot install DT Lite.

Hi,

One slight hiccup.

When I uninstalled the pro trial it also deleted all my system restore points.

I know they were there before hand as I created one just before removal and there were at least 6 system checkpoints showing in the list as well as the one I had just made.

I have 32 gig free on the C drive so it should not be a space issue.

Is this a known problem?

When I noticed it had done this I created one before the installation of DTLite - it was not deleted during the install.
