    Did you uninstall SPTD before upgrade?

        I have build 7100 installed, tried to install SPTD separately and with Daemon Tools Installer, both keep my machine restarting, although everything worked in build 7077. Please help.

          @G2s
          It is working here at our test machines. Also keep in mind Windows 7 is not final yet.

          @buddy666
          What do you mean with "keep my machine restarting"?

                I installed Windows 7 Build 7100 x64 yesterday, and Daemon Tools (DTPro4300305). Everything's working fine.

                  Nope, not for me.

                  Windows 7, Build 7100 x64, keeps doing the "attempt to reinstall" thing on reboot. That's with a clean install of the O/S. Yup, I had right clicked and chose to install as administrator, so I guess some people are having trouble with the install?

                    well, if you read closely you have to install sptd first... i'm guessing you didn't do that...

                      I had the same issue as the original poster (DT won't launch after update, reinstall failed) after updating from 70XX to 7100.
                      To fix it, I had to remove the SPTD registry entry. It was blocked due to the SPTD service still running so I followed the instructions here:
                      Registry permission for SPTD - DuplexSecure-Forum

                      It's worth a try for those who still have trouble. Let me know if that helped...

                        Isn't that included with the installer?!? On the download page, it does say

                        v4.30.4 32/64 Bits (with SPTD 1.58)

                            I've got the same with RC1 x64 yesterday, but it runs just fine.

                              It is included, but sometimes it is required to install SPTD manually.
