  • Conflict with Visual Studio

I recently installed the latest version of Daemon Tools Lite. After installation, the next time I opened a solution in Visual Studio 2008 that included a sql mdf file that gets dynamically attached, a window popped up about Daemon Tools being somehow involved in Visual Studio mounting that file??? This conflict concerned me so I uninstalled Daemon Tools Lite and now Visual Studio throws errors when I attempt to work with files that access the sql mdf file in the project.

I searched the forums and could not find any issues that were even close.

Has anybody experiences a similar issue?

    Thanks

Maybe DT keeps an association with the .mdf file after it's uninstallation. Try checking the registry for any DT remains, especially in the filetype section of the registry (check if .mdf is set to be opened with DT).

      Conflict with Visual Studio

I had a working installation of DT lite until I installed Visual Studio Express 2008, including SQL. Now, I have the SPTD 1.6 error. I tried all the 17 step uninstall for sptd, and tried to install alcohol- no luck.
