Totaly new to this place

I have no Idea where to ask this or what to do so bear with me.

I have my own purchased copy of Grand Theft Auto Vice City and I want to install Vice City Play cd on my hard drive so I don't have to install the disk to play. I tried making an iso and used a simple virutal drive program on xp pro but it wouldn't recognize the game. All files were there etc. looked exactly like my disk but wouldn't recognize it. Is there more I need to do?

Can I even ask this kind of question?

You've to create an image in appropriate image format (e.g. Alcohol or Blindwrite);
'cause the new SecuROM protection doesn't work from ISOs. In Alcohol just select SecuROM v4.x/5.x profile.
