Daemon tools fails to initialize

Daemon Tools fails to initialize...the lite version and the standard version both fail to work. I have installed, reinstalled and done everything i can think. The system installs the software and it completes that successfully, it just doesn't run.

Any help in circumventing this problem would be greatly appreciated...any information you may need will be given.

My operating system is Windows Vista service pack 1((i got the computer all of a month ago))

I tried to use the most up to date Daemon Tools both standard trial and lite.

Daemon Tools Lite 4.30.4
