CCD vs CUE - which one to mount?

In the case of CloneCD CCD, CUE, IMG and SUB files - is there a difference between mounting the CCD or the CUE file? Which one should be mounted? Does it matter at all?

CCD is always the best!

-cue will mount but has less info than CCD
-img will mount but will contain even less info than cue or ccd
-sub you can't mount
