  • Problem With DTools

    Operating System: Windows XP
    Burning Software: Nero
    Anti-virus Software: Mcafee
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

Hello all. Wanted to say what a nice job you guy do with these forums and software. I've been using DTools for a few years now, to avoid swapping cds and wasting cdr's. Just recently, I formatted my comp, and when I reinstalled DTools I get an error. It says "The folder name 'Program Files' contains and invalid character." This may be due to the fact that I installed it on my external non-main hd. I also get that msg when I try to uninstall it. Any help would be appreciated..Thanks in advance,

    Matt

Check "Logged install" checkbox just above install button.

I think it is due to the fact that I entered the drive name of my DVD drive and not my external HD. Now I cant remove it because the drive does not exist. Anything I can do?

Try to change some other harddisk/cdrom to missing drive letter. If this fails, check out common probs/sol'ns forum for manual uninstall details.

                Didn't Work

I tried that already and no luck. Anyways, can't seem to find manual uninstallation in that suggested forum. Maybe I'm just slow today?..
