  • Mounting Problems

    My O.S.: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (x64)
Daemon Version: Daemon Tools Lite v4.35.5.0068 SPTD 1.62
    PC: HP Pavilion DV4
Problem: Daemon Tools does not mount images.

Description: Daemon Tools does not do anything... i can browse the Image, but it just wont mount.

Troubleshoot: I have tried several Images to ensure it's not a faulty Image. With all cases, Daemon Tools just sits there, it does not mount.. i can also browse all images. I also tried testing options in preference tab.. with no success.

Daemon Tools Settings: I left the settings at default level. I only use Daemon Tools for mounting images.

Would anyone out there know what could be causing this problem? Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance ...

How do you try to mount the image exactly?

      - Right click the icon in Notification Area
      - Hover over "Virtual Devices"
      - Slide over to "Device 0: [G] No Media"
      - Then from there slide over to "Mount Image"
      - then i locate the ISO image ..

OK and then is something stated in that virtual drive in DT's tray icon?

Do you actually see the virtual drive in My Computer?

Yes.. it's listed in "My Computer" as "G" ..

          NOTE:
is there a "Service" in "Services.msc" that must be on in order for Daemon Tools to mount properly that you know off the top of your head? I have many "Services" turned off to conserve resources.. as my laptop is very old ..

Do you see any errors in Event Viewer?
You may try to enable all those services and check if issue is gone or not.
I don't know which services are required directly, but you may check it by enabling all services.
