  • D-Tools 3.46 breaks Nero InCD 4.1.5.x

Operating System: Windows XP Pro SP1 US
Burning Software: Nero Burning ROM 6.3.16
    Anti-virus Software: CA eTrust
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

    Hi,
    the following combination doesn't work:

    D-Tools 3.46 with InCD V4.1.5.10 (V4.1.5.7 as well)
Error: InCD can't format a media

Going back to D-Tools V3.44 solves the problem.

    This behaviour is reproducable.

    regards,
    Joerg

    Operating System: Windows 2000 SP4
Burning Software: NERO 5.5.10.42 and InCD 4.0.1.7
    Anti-virus Software: none
    DAEMON Tools Version: DT 3.46

    I'm having a similiar problem.

I placed my picture storage DVD+RW in the drive(NEC ND1300), and tried to burn more pictures --> tells me that it's a read only device..! Also, shows that the disc is full instead of the normal free space... So I can read the dics just fine, but writing don't work at all! Need a quick work-around, would updating InCD do?

Same here: unable to burn CDs with 3.46

      Operating System: Windows 2000 SP4
      Burning Software: Nero 5.5.10.56
      Anti-virus Software: McAfee 7.0
      DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

      Howdy,

I wondered if I was the only one! Apparently not!

I couldn't burn any CD!! All the time Nero complained about the inserted CD being of an invalid media type: Media type required: CD-R, Media type in recorder: CD-ROM. This happened no mather what empty CD-R I tried...

After uninstalling 3.46 I could burn CDs again! Gone back to version 3.44 (No burn problems with this version)

      Regards,
      Kees

            Conflict confirmed

            Operating System: All NT-based systems
Burning Software: InCD 4 - any revision
            Anti-virus Software: None
            DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

            I confirm the conflict.

More exactly the IRP status of some command with check condition Target Status are modified by Daemon Tools, leading to the sense buffer to not be passed up to InCD usermode components (sense buffer is available only on successful IRP status). The IRP status is changed from success status (0h) to C0000185h (I/O error).

This should be fixable in Daemon Tools.

Can you be more specific where it happens? Daemon tools returns IRP status from lower driver.
Strange they get normal status without Daemon Tools though. This needs to be checked.

Maybe, it is the same problem as mine with Daemon Tools and Nero EasyWrite Reader. I`m impatiently waiting for new version of Daemon.
                    Hi everybody.

new version is in development, and as it's a major-update and even with
new features, it takes longer this time to release it - please be patient

I`m very disapointed. I was waiting for new version (3.47) so long and my problem is not fixed.
I can`t use Daemon-Tools on my PC without RW mechanic,
because after the instalation of Daemon I can`t read discs,
                            who was burning in InCD
(with the help of EasyWriteReader program).
                            I`m very, very disapointed.

                              Hi,
I just uninstalled Roxio CD Creator and installed Ahead InCD v4.3.0.5 and it seems to be working without problems.

I succesfully copied files into a CD-RW and then, without closing the InCD application, executed a game.
I have Daemon Tools v3.47 with a mounted CD in it, and the game launched without any problems.

Sorry if this info has become useless already.
