  • Duplex Secure's SPTD

    Hello:

I have been using DT Lite for some time now (with apparent issue). I recently installed ImgBurn and find I get the following error -

Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.

I checked on ImgBurn's forums and they advised that the drive is installed as part of DT. Will DT Lite still function if I use DS' stand-alone installer/uninstaller to uninstall the driver?

    Thanks!

It will currently not working without SPTD, but a newer version without SPTD is planned.

So far I haven't heard of any performance issues with latest SPTD version.

Does the current version (4.35.6.0091 with SPTD 1.62) use the latest SPTD from Duplex Secure, or should I install their current stand-alone driver?

      Thanks.

Current version of SPTD is 1.72 and as you already figured out yourself DT Lite contains SPTD 1.62 and therefore you have to download latest SPTD setup from DuplexSecure and press on Update.

In one of the last SPTD versions the slowdown was gone.
Recognized it while ripping a BD.
with old SPTD I only got 6-8MB/sec.
          now I am at 22 MB/sec. with 1.72
