  • Daemon stop working on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

    I have install Daemon Tools Lite last version(i found only 32bit version on the official site)
    After about ten days,i have a message approximately with such maintenance:
    "The Windows are necessary for the given appendix 2000 and STPD 1.60 at least. The kernel debugger should be deactivated."
    I update STPD driver(i have some problem,STPD 64bit driver don't want to install,but 32 bit driver updated Successfully),but it doesn't help me...I uninstall Daemon and when i try to install again,he show me some error(error 14 or error 4 i don't remmember)
    What's wrong?

    Thank's for helping and sorry for my broken English

        I have the exact same problem AFTER I installed the new version of Comodo Internet Security (Version 5.0). I uninstalled it and works perfect, had to revert to older version of Comodo Firewall (4.x)

          DT setup contains x86 and x64.

          Error 4 means some software is modifying code on-the-fly.
          Please list all running processes pashulka.

          @xoltrix2000
          Thanks for the info, I will check that version.

          EDIT:
          @xoltrix2000
          I reproduced the problem on Win 7 x64. Strangely it is working fine on XP SP3.
          EDIT2:
          Solution for Comodo 5 is the following:
          Defense+ tab -> Defense+ Settings -> Check "Deactivate the Defense+ permanently (Requires a system restart" -> Reboot
          I informed Comodo about the issue and hopefully they will release an update soon.

                  Only the driver is x64, application is x86.

                    maybe i need to install STPD 1.74 64bit driver first??and after that i should install Daemon Tools lite?

                      The setup installs automatically x64 driver.
                      You may try 1.74 x64 setup.

                              I was talking about the option which requires you to reboot to take the effect.
