What type of disk is inserted?
Also do you use DT Lite/Pro/Net?
    Also which version of those.

Please check this problem on DTPro 4.40.0311 Trial if you have another OS because new DTPro 4.40.0311 doesn't support Win2000.

If the problem is still reproducible, we will need special logs from your system (with DTLite).

        1. Please, download attached file "DTProLogging.zip" and save it to your hdd.
        2. Extract files from the archive.
        3. Find standart Windows Command Prompt and run it as Administrator.
        4. In Command Prompt window go to the folder where you saved files from "DTProLogging.zip". To do so, execute CD command.
        For example:
        cd c:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Pro\DTProLogging

        5. Start "startlog.bat" command file. Just type startlog.bat and press Enter in Command Prompt window. Do not close this console window.
        6. Reproduce the problem you have reported.
        7. Turn back to Command Prompt window and start "stoplog.bat" command-file (just type stoplog.bat and press Enter).
        8. Find automatically created "logs.zip" file and send us the file.

You can post "logs.zip" file in this thread OR send in to our support team (support-eml@disc-soft.com) with the link to current thread.

P.S. Please specify your SPTD version. Also you can try to upgrade your SPTD to v1.75.

          Hello --

This just happens on the win/2000 system and if the trail version does not support 2K, then its a moot point. I Have other OS's ( xp ) where I don't have thi issue.

Would it still make sense to send you the requested logs using the 4.35.6.0091 version running on 2K?

There were some fixes for CD drives in DTPro 4.40.0311, but they were made after DTLite 4.35.6 release. So there is no sense to make logs with that DTLite version
