  • Question about Daemon virtual optical drives

Hello I recently bought DAEMON Tools Pro Advanced 5.0.0316 (lifetime license), but when I add a virtual drive Windows 7 SP1 (64bit) shows in "my computer" the added drives are "BD-ROM". My physical optical drives say "DVD-RW" in "my computer".

My question is does the Daemon virtual drive(s) support: DVD-R/DVD+R, DVDR, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW (the last two are Read + Write) images?

    Thanks! Forest.

Yes, Daemon Tools supports all the mentioned image files, note that you can not write to a read only device (ROM) though. The only reason why the virtual device is identified as BD-ROM is that BluRay image files are supported as well.
