  • Windows not recognising any virtual drives

I'm using windows 7 and had been using daemon tools lite perfectly fine up until recently.

now as soon as i try to create a virtual drive i get the message "driver could not install" from the taskbar and no drives appear in my computer

It also seems that my usb dvd drive isn't recognised either anymore

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Please try this Microsoft FixIt solution, reboot
Your CD or DVD drive can't read or write media

If the FixIt can't find/fix problems please attach/upload a zipped Autoruns arn file (no installation required).
Additionally, please download this tool: http://www.bustrace.com/downloads/devfilter.exe
Run it, highlight your optical drive on the left, then highlight upper/lower filters on the right.
Which filters are installed on your system ?
