  • Can't play .bin files anymore

    Operating System: Windows XP
    Burning Software: Alcohol 120
    Anti-virus Software: Norton Anti-virus/firewall
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

I have a movie in .bin format and I can get it to mount and open in a media player but the player locks up. I've tried Real Player, Windows Media Player and ATI Media Center and each one locked.

    *Flash back a couple weeks*

I have the same movie on my computer and I mount it with daemon tools and it played just fine in Real Player. But, due to some minor mishaps I was forced to reformat my harddrive. So, what I was thinking is it might be a driver problem.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the lockups?

After re-format/re-installation first guess is always ASPI drivers
try to update with e.g. ForceASPI 1.7 or official Adaptec 4.71.2

      fixed it!

For some reason or another the ability for Real and Windows Media Player to play DVD's got corrupted. I am able to open up the movies in Power DVD though. Thanks for the help
