  • Serious boot stuff up.... serious

Operating System: Win XP Pro SP1 (Install Process)
    Burning Software: Nero 6
    Anti-virus Software: NAV 2004
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

Ok, my story is rather long so i'll sumarise it

    I'm a VS developer
VS stuffed up windows, so i needed to run a repair operation on win xp sp1
i put in the cd, hit upgrade, it installed fine 100% except then i got the boot error,
i attempted to hit escape on d346bus.sys, either i wasent hitting escape fast enough or it kept restarting after hitting escape
i then removed d346bus.sys and d346prt (i copied them into another directory)
    that dint work
so in desperation i attempted to run a repair of win xp pro (no sp just original) and thats compleately screwed, it doesnt even install.....

and thats when i gave up

i have one and only one good thing to say, i have another win2k pro partition on the same comp, for recovery purposes such as thease, so i have full access to the file system...
    any suggestions?
should i put the files back in? terminate the current install? run a repair running xp sp1? ???/

    Thanks a lot
and i cant beleive how much shit i got into because of stupid vs.net
Working...
